atp I don’t even care if you take it to midway but when I see the whole damn team go out to shore. I can’t fucking do this anymore oh my god
This applies more strongly to Maws, Scrappers, and Flipper-Floppers, and obviously if you will die if you dont kill it now, do kill it, but we're wasting time and resources and dying more frequently when we have to chuck eggs from shore for no reason. We get separated and swarmed! This will happen waaaayy less if you just drag some of the bosses closer to the basket. If you truly feel that you, personally, will die if you don't go to shore for non-shore-locked enemies, at least half kill them so we're not still chucking eggs
If someone goes “This way!”, you don’t even have to go there per se, but at least check!
Usually people are signaling for a reason, maybe there’s a Big Shot, maybe there’s 3 Flyfish (yes this one just happened. Yes this is why I’m writing this there were fucking three of them and everyone had all their specials and I could not fucking get them on my own and then everyone died. Shocking. If only this could have been avoided somehow.)
Consider what weapon you have when you see bosses spawn!
Sometimes you’re really the only one able to efficiently kill the fish stick and if I have to do it it’s gonna take 3x as long and more bosses will spawn and overwhelm us. This also applies to not completely abandoning your chargers, you’re just going to be down a whole team member if all your E-Liter can do is half heartedly shoot at chum to survive
Ink the walls!
You can actually navigate the whole map decently well and quickly if you just ink the fucking walls! You can get out of a swarm, cut across to kill a Tower, or revive a teammate, or what have you. Like. It sounds fake and it's not like you should be running out to shore still but -- really the amount of shit you can get away with through inking the walls is shocking!
More loosely,
If you can, try and think of what your current weapon can do in a team setting. Can your charger ink up the fish stick for easy access for your teammates who may have shorter range or get swarmed at the base trying to ink up? Can you umbrella shield a teammate getting swarmed? Can your rapid-fire weapon clear a path to move eggs or get to a boss in the corner? At least some degree of teamwork is necessary, and considering how the current rotation setup may make some enemies easier or harder to kill is useful in making sure you don't end up in a situation where it's pouring salmon ink so constantly none of you can survive.
